Bofin Weaves
Bofin Weaves is an artisan textile studio based on the picturesque island of Inishbofin, off the coast of Connemara. Founded by weaver and designer Catherine O’Connor, Bofin Weaves creates unique, handwoven pieces that capture the rich textures, shifting light, and rugged coastal beauty of island life. Member of Design & Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI) & The Irish Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers.
Every thread woven pays homage to Inishbofin’s heritage and traditions. Working primarily on a rigid heddle loom and traditional spinning wheels, Catherine blends Irish wool, natural fibres, and sustainable yarns to craft timeless pieces rooted in the ethos of "slow fashion" and sustainable craft.
From ocean-inspired blues to the quiet hues of island flora, each piece tells a story of the Atlantic landscape.
