Join us for the Inishbofin Set Dancing & Trad Weekend, a weekend of Irish trad music, dance, and guaranteed fun!
Held annually on the last weekend of September, the festival is a must-attend event for anyone who loves traditional Irish culture. This annual festival is emerging as the perfect way to wrap up the end of summer and embrace the winter. The Inishbofin Set Dancing and Trad Weekend has proven to be an impressive occasion resulting in Inishbofin overflowing with talent in the shape of dancers, musicians and artists alike.
The festival promises plenty of opportunities to dance the night away. Even if you’re a complete beginner or just want to freshen up your steps, there will be workshops on set dancing and sean-nos dance to help you get in the groove.
Throughout the weekend, you can expect plenty of Irish trad music, song, and dance sessions to keep you entertained. It’s the perfect opportunity to soak up the lively atmosphere and experience the warm hospitality of the island’s community.

Saturday 26 September 2026:
- 12 pm Session in The Beach Bar with Fergus Bogue & Anthony Kavanagh
- 1 pm Set dancing workshop in the Community Centre with tutor Joe Mc Gorin - €12.00
- 2 pm Session in The Doonmore Hotel with Patsy Broderick, Nollaig Casey, Sean Abeyta, Mick Culloty & Geraldine King
- 3:30 pm Festival Mass
- 4 pm Session in The Galley Cafe with Liz Colman, Noriana Kennedy, Paul Bradley & Paddy Joe King
- 5 pm Singing Session in The Inishbofin House Hotel with The Mc Keaney Sisters, Anne Skelton & Patrick Hugh Kelly
- 7 pm Session in The Doonmore Hotel with Josie Canavan, Patsy Broderick, Francis O'Halloran & Paddy Allen
- 9 pm Ceili in the Community Centre with Rise The Dust Ceili Band, (including refreshments) (including a sean-nós dance demonstration) - €12.00
