Cashel Together Festival

Cashel Together is a weeklong annual festival taking place in the heart of Connemara, where all the family is catered for. Take part in sport events, kids’ club, dance classes and a Céilí.

The festival starts with a BBQ of local fish and sports for the children and the official opening takes place at 7pm with the releasing of white balloons and a special guest. There is a fresh water fishing competition on one of Cashel’s beautiful lakes.

One of the highlights of the week is a special Mass on the Mass Rock, where there are breath-taking views over all of Cashel. The Mass rock is where mass was said during penal times in Ireland.

Monday August 3rd

• 10:00am: Yoga Le Aisling
  Join Aisling for a morning Yoga session in the Cashel National School,

• 2:00pm: Golden Jubilee Mass
  In honour of Fr Conal Eustace
  Refreshments in the Community Centre afterwards
• Adult Table quiz @7:00pm: The Zetland
  €40 per Table (Teams of 4)

Tuesday August 4th

• 10:00am: Pilates class
  Join Roisin Ridge for a Pilates class in the Cashel National School. Free entry just bring your mat
• 2:30pm: Social Inclusion Day at the Community Centre
  Have fun with low impact activities designed for older adults with Galway Sports Partnership, free health checks from Croí, followed by talks from the Fire Brigade, Cairdeas and other local organisations. Complimentary refreshments.
• 7:30pm: Seisiún na nóg
  Music, Song & Dance

Wednesday August 5th

• 1:30pm: Cashel Hill Heritage Experience
  Meet at the New Line opposite Lettershanna Cross road at 1:15pm. Guided walk with renowned local historian Michael Gibbons to High Cashel. Please wear appropriate footwear, as the walk includes uneven terrain.
• 2:40pm: Ringfort Talk with Michael Gibbons
  An informative talk on the history and significance of the ancient ringfort.
• 3:00pm: Mass at Cashel Graveyard
• Bingo Night Doors open 7:30pm & Eyes Down @8:00pm

Thursday August 6th

• 10:00 am: Rest & Renew healing circle
  Join Sea & Soul Holistic for a peacful morning of rest and renewal. Together we'll slow down, breath deeply and create space for calm, clarity and welbeing

Friday August 7th

  How well do you know your whiskey? Sample Colm's range and test your palate in our tasting challenge.

Saturday August

• Come & Tri – Cashel Sports Challenge:

Sunday August 9th

• 12-2:00pm: Classic and Vintage Car Club
  Classic cars, tractors and bikes will be on display courtest of Connemara Classic and Vintage Club
• 5 A-Side Soccer on the Green: Enter €25 per Team (Teams of 7 players)
  2:00pm – Ladies and Children's Competition
  4:00pm – Men's Soccer Competition
• 6:00pm: Music with The Jab Band in Johnny O'Loughlens
