‘Bia Bofinne – A Taste of Inishbofin’ celebrates all things local, with a focus on traditional food, arts and crafts from this exceptionally beautiful part of the country.
Inishbofin Food Festival 2026 – A Taste of Inishbofin – Friday 18th – Sunday 20th September
Bia Bó Finne – also known as the Inishbofin Food Festival – is an annual celebration of culinary delights set against the stunning backdrop of Inishbofin Island.
A three day festival; starting with wonderful cultural experiences, followed by two days of workshops and dining experiences. Not forgetting the wonderful guided food trails, with flavourful samplings designed to highlight the island’s finest local produce and culinary talent.
Join us for a weekend of exploration and take in the breathtaking coastal scenery, discover the stories behind our food, and savour a true taste of Inishbofin.
Festival Guide
Friday 18th September
- 17:00 – Opening of the Festival: Bia Bó Finne 2026

Saturday 19th September
- 11:00 – Workshop for Children

- 14:30 to 15:45 – “All Things Lamb”

- 16:15 to 18:00 – “Ready, Steady, Chef” – Fish filleting & knife skills.

Sunday 20th September
- 10:00 – Baking Workshop
- Doonmore Hotel
- With Cliona Coyne of “Berrytree” brand and Laura Donovan of So Doh in Renvyle.
- 12:30 – 14:30 Food Trails
- East Trail: Outside Community Centre at 12:15
- West Trail: Outside Doonmore Hotel at 12:15
- Guided walking route, stops will be made along the route where you will be presented with food offerings from various establishments.

- 14:30 – Fermenting and Pickling Vegetables for Winter
