Luxury Self Catering Accommodation Nestled in the heart of Connemara, on the doorstep of Kylemore Abbey.

A classic Georgian House built in 1847 in a unique lake shore location in Connemara. Built by Rev Duncan in the 1840’s as a Hotel catering to fishing enthusiasts of Wild Atlantic Salmon and Sea Trout caught on the fly. The Hotel was purchased as the private summer residence by the Guinness family who turned it into their private summer residence for the following generations.
It was then a Guesthouse again since the 1940’s. Today we offer Luxury Boutique apartments on the lake shore with access to the lake for all.

Kylemore House is a significant part of the enchanting history of Connemara. Located just footsteps away from Kylemore Abbey, this house has a colourful history embedded in its walls. Kylemore House is located on its woodland site, with full access to Kylemore Lake which is famous for its serenity and and fly fishing. Kylemore House recently underwent major renovations of the public spaces and guest rooms which are now designed as boutique suite style self-catering accommodation.
