Eldons is named for the family that ran the post office in Roundstone during the late 19th and early 20th Centuries. Bought by local’s Ann & Joe Conneely in 1989, who had already established and enjoyed success with Beola Restaurant and B&B in the 1970s. Eldons opened to great fanfare, and operated as a hotel, run by the family until 2007.
