The Connemara Walking Festival

The Connemara Walking Festival is set in Ireland’s breathtaking Connemara region – a Hill Walker’s haven. Be part of this social gathering of hill walking enthusiasts and explore the wild landscape of the west. Climb some of Galway’s highest mountain ranges such as the Twelve Bens or set out on a low level cultural tour of the area around Doolough and Killary Harbour. Take some snapshots of Connemara’s magical rugged terrain and discover the area with local mountain leaders and cultural tour guides.

The festivities take place at Delphi Adventure Resort & Spa, a 4* Hotel with onsite hostel accommodation. Nestled amongst the scenic splendours of Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, the resort is the perfect location for exploring Connemara’s unique offering.

The festival kicks off with an opening ceremony featuring a diverse range of guest speakers, locally sourced food prepared by our award-winning chef, traditional Irish music and dancing, and continues throughout the weekend with professionally guided hill walks through some of Connemara’s most awe-inspiring mountain landscapes. A closing ceremony takes place on the Sunday evening to share experiences and to make life long memories with new friends and old. With walks to suit all fitness levels (Low, Moderate & High), there is something for everyone – come and join us for the festivities!
